MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR, H/FDUNKIRK

We are currently seeking an experienced MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR for a major natural gas infrastructure project in Dunkirk, France.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review engineering work orders and ensure they contain all required information to execute the work.
• Stay up to date with client Technical Recommendations (TR) and applicable EN standards (e.g., EN 1090) to effectively supervise engineering activities and contractors.
• Prepare equipment documentation and follow up on materials and prefabrication activities, including mechanical datasheets for enquiries.
• Perform technical evaluation and conditioning of supplier quotations:
• Monitor prefabrication activities and ensure compliance with material specifications, standards, and local requirements.
• Review supplier engineering documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, international standards, and interface integration.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Lead the project machinery/package team by:
• Prepare and plan VIC, RAMS, PDP, and Work Permits.
• Liaise with project teams and other disciplines.
• Report progress through the project management system.
• Ensure delivery of as-built documentation after completion of the work.
• Lead on-site technical activities in compliance with HSE policies and requirements.

PROFILE

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Piping, or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or energy projects
• Knowledge of welding processes and welding documentation requirements
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible and proactive mindset
• Curiosity and ability to explore alternative technical solutions
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
