We are looking for a Commissioning Superintendent to support a major gas terminal project and ensure the safe and efficient execution of all commissioning activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination & Interface

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the commissioning team and the Terminal organization.
  • Align and coordinate all commissioning disciplines (Mechanical, EI&I, Automation/SAS, HVAC, Process & Piping).
  • Interact with the Certification/Completion Coordinator and ATS Coordinator as required.

Site Preparation & Execution

  • Ensure commissioning areas are fully prepared: tools, equipment, materials, systems, utilities, and documentation.
  • Organize and oversee vendor and supplier visits to the Terminal.
  • Support Commissioning Engineers with site logistics, procedures, access, and routines.

Planning & Reporting

  • Provide regular progress updates to the Terminal team, client representatives, and commissioning management.
  • Coordinate Terminal-level reporting in alignment with overall commissioning planning.
  • Manage work order and work permit routines, access requirements, and role allocations.

Safety, Compliance & Culture

  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce Terminal HSE standards during all commissioning activities.
  • Introduce and onboard internal and external visitors to Terminal procedures, safety rules, and responsibilities.
  • Conduct risk-related coordination and facilitate the development of PDP, RAMS/MOS (Mode Opératoire Sécurité) with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Capture lessons learned and propose continuous improvements.

Project Lifecycle Adaptation

  • Responsibilities may evolve depending on project phase:
  • Pre-shutdown: preparation, planning, coordination
  • Shutdown: intensive interface, execution support, safety and permit management
  • Post-shutdown: follow-up, punch list coordination, reporting, consolidation of lessons learned

PROFILE

  • Strong knowledge of Décret 92 and PDP requirements.
  • Valid ANFAS N1 & N2 certifications.
  • Valid ATEX Level 2 accreditation.
  • Valid H2V, HE/BE-ESSAI, and B2V electrical accreditations (HT/BT).
  • Solid HSE background, including risk analysis and risk management.
  • Proven experience with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams in an industrial environment is a strong asset.
  • Fluent French and English (spoken and written).
