We are seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL ENGINEER to support a major nuclear project based in Belgium.

MISSIONS

  • Lead design, renovation, and optimization studies for electrical systems in line with local and international standards and regulations.
  • Define equipment ratings, technical specifications, and overall system design: generators, protections, generator breakers, power transformers, MV/LV motors, AC/DC switchboards, DC and Safe AC systems, emergency diesel generators, cabling, etc.
  • Act as Contract Owner: prepare tender documents, analyze offers, conduct technical-commercial negotiations, and award contracts for the supply of electrical equipment or related services.
  • Manage technical interfaces with other engineering disciplines and with the client's installations.
  • Ensure technical-commercial follow-up of contracts.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), supervise on-site installation, and support commissioning activities.
  • Provide expertise and consulting on electrical systems for nuclear generation units.
  • Monitor market developments, best practices, and updates in electrical/nuclear standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical engineering methods within the nuclear sector.

PROFILE

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, with minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems-ideally within the nuclear industry (including safety classification and qualification).
  • Strong interest in analysis and problem-solving for electrical power systems.
  • Proficiency in French or Dutch, with a good command of English.
  • Team-oriented, motivated, and able to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and innovative.
  • Independent, rigorous, and responsible.
  • Willing to travel for short or medium-term assignments; regular presence required at nuclear power plant (NPP) sites.
  • Required certifications: BA4 or BA5, and VCA.
