RÉPONDRE À CETTE OFFREWe are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join a major nuclear project in Brussels, Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead fire, explosion, and flooding risk assessments in line with regulations, standards, and internal methodologies.
- Perform advanced fire simulations and calculations: define scenarios, select models, gather data, analyze results, and prepare high-quality reports.
- Assess and validate fire protection and detection systems against project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety references.
- Conduct on-site walk-downs, integrate feedback, and propose technical improvements.
- Present and defend analyses to clients and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities with other teams and support junior engineers or subcontracted studies.
- Monitor scope, planning, and budget of assigned studies.
- Support the Project Manager during meetings with Safety Authorities.
PROFILE
- Engineering degree (Fire Safety, Mechanical or Nuclear). Master's in Fire Engineering is a strong asset.
- Proven experience in fire simulations, risk analysis, or protection system design.
- Fluent in French and English (Dutch is a plus).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proactive, rigorous, and collaborative mindset.
