PROJECT ENGINEER, H/FBELGIUM

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the design and execution of large-scale marine infrastructure projects in Belgium.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the technical design of assigned sections within major marine infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with clients and external partners (JV partners, consultancies, contractors).
• Prepare design packages (concept, tender, detailed) for port and coastal structures: quay walls, locks, jetties, dikes, breakwaters, bridge foundations, etc.
• Apply relevant Belgian and European standards, codes, and internal guidelines.
• Support integrated design processes by coordinating across disciplines (water, roads, mobility).
• Track project progress, quality, and financial performance.
• Supervise junior engineers and CAD designers; review drafting work.
• Develop and apply technical skills using tools like SCIA Engineer, DSheet Piling, Ansys, Plaxis.

PROFILE

• MSc in Structural, Marine, or Offshore Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marine or civil infrastructure design.
• Strong command of structural and soil-structure interaction codes (EC, ISO, NEN, EAU, etc.).
• Proficient in reinforced concrete design for complex 3D structures.
• Experience with public project contract management.
• Knowledge of Flemish Building Consent (omgevingsvergunning) is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an asset.
• Quality- and client-oriented team player with excellent communication skills.
• Open to travel for short/medium-term assignments.
• Valid driving license (international or "B").
