We are currently seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENT & CONTROL (EIC) CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT for a major natural gas infrastructure project in Dunkirk, France.


This project involves the development and expansion of key facilities within the energy sector, specifically focused on the construction, installation, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for a critical energy transmission and distribution terminal.

MISSION

  • Oversee the construction process and contractor deliverables.
  • Manage the execution of field disciplines or specific aspects of the assigned construction projects.
  • Ensure that all work adheres to quality standards, contract specifications, and company policies.
  • Navigate and manage the industrial relations environment on-site.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during the design phase to enhance constructability.
  • Control the project schedule for assigned disciplines and construction activities.
  • Supervise installation and ensure successful project completion.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular reports on project status.
  • Communicate safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities to contractor teams.
  • Ensure contractors receive adequate training in safety, legal, and competency aspects, including inductions.

PROFIL

  • Education: Bac +2 BTS or DUT in Electrical, Instrument & Control studies
  • Minimum of 5 years in EIC construction, preferably within the energy sector (natural gas, oil & gas, or power).
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, especially those involving electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Experience with completion/system testing and handling completion systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in "Responsable Sécurité" or "Coordination en Sécurité et Protection de la Santé (CSPS)".
  • Ability to meet project timelines and drive culture change when necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Fluent in both English and French.
