PROJECTS CONTRACTS DIRECTOR, H/FMOROCCO

We are seeking a Projects Contracts Director for an energy program in Morocco.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead strategic initiatives to align with the company's plan and enhance contractor local content.
• Guide contract specialists in developing effective contracting and sourcing strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing to foster commercial competition for each project.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned to improve performance and add value.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring the Contracts Management Team.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and Delegation of Authority (DOA) by overseeing contracts and dispute resolution.
• Provide tailored contracting solutions, strategic project bidding guidance, and consultation to the Project Director and Team.
• Lead contract negotiations, resolve conflicts, and manage major claims, disputes, and legal issues.

PROFIL

• Minimum Master Degree in International Trade, or related fields.
• 10 years' experience in the petrochemicals/mining or in an industrial environment
• 10 years' management experience.
• 10 years' experience of managing a similar function for projects in chemical industries.
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, subcontracting, and project management for mega projects (including planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress measurement).
• Ability to provide contractual interpretation in technical meetings with contractors and project management teams.
• Strong negotiation, decision-making, and customer relations skills.
• Excellent people management, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
• Well-versed in supply management policies, procedures, systems, and best practices.
• Exceptional international cultural awareness.

Start date: April/May 2025

Duration: 12 months, renewable

Location: In Morocco

Rotation: 8 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF
