COMMISSIONING SUPERINTENDANT, M/FBELGIUM

We are currently seeking a COMMISSIONING SUPERINTENDENT to join a major project in the petrochemical and chemical industry in Belgium.

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of process and mechanical systems within the South Utilities area, ensuring that all installations, tests, and validations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Supervise testing of process and mechanical systems, including interfaces, interlocks, loop checks, and safety devices
• Review procedures, method statements, and vendor documentation
• Support mechanical completion and system handover
• Identify technical issues, follow up corrective actions, and manage punch lists
• Ensure compliance with HSE rules, RAMS, PTW, and LOTO procedures
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate commissioning records

PROFILE

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
• Solid experience in process and mechanical commissioning on industrial projects
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Good reporting and documentation abilities
• Client-focused mindset and strong communication skills
• Fluent in English
