APPLY FOR THIS JOBWe are looking for a QUANTITY SURVEYOR specialized in Mechanical Works to join an industrial project based in Belgium
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quantity Control & Measurement
- Verify unit rate measurements submitted by contractors against drawings and piping isometrics
- Review and validate as-built measurements based on final drawings
- Ensure compliance with contractual measurement methods and preambles
- Perform related cost evaluations
Reporting & Contract Monitoring
- Prepare bi-weekly reports on measurement status (preliminary and as-built)
- Track and update quantities for each contract
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit purposes
Contractor Coordination
- Follow up with contractors to ensure timely submission of measurements
- Review and validate monthly progress payment certificates
- Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings
- Prepare and issue meeting minutes
Cost Control & Claims
- Review and validate extra works (variations)
- Support the analysis of contractor claims
- Contribute to contract amendments and revisions
- Update monthly subcontract reports, including variations
Administrative Follow-up
- Monitor correspondence between Client and contractors
- Escalate key issues to the Subcontracts Administrator
Profile & Requirements
- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying within industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical works measurement
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (complex spreadsheets)
- Good understanding of contracts and measurement methodologies
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Must be eligible to work in Belgium
- Immediate availability is highly preferred
