We are currently seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT FIELD ENGINEER for a major natural gas infrastructure project in Dunkirk, France.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the main interface between field engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and the engineering team to ensure all technical requirements are met and resolved efficiently.
  • Review, validate, and approve work orders, ensuring all necessary technical information is included prior to execution.
  • Provide technical direction and support to Electrical Superintendents and E&I craftsmen on site.
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of electrical and instrumentation personnel in the field.
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractors' E&I execution works, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems, in coordination with engineering.
  • Raise and follow up technical queries via PIMS, ensuring proper resolution and, where required, the creation of corrective work orders by engineering.
  • Ensure proper follow-up of as-built documentation, including red-line mark-ups and updates of drawings and technical records.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and updating of technical and product documentation.
  • Promote a strong HSSE culture on site, ensuring all safety and quality procedures are strictly followed.

PROFILE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in completion, commissioning, or system testing within industrial or energy projects.
  • Proven experience in hazardous areas and strong knowledge of ATEX requirements, including: EX basics / EXi basics / EX inspection and maintenance
  • Solid experience with completion systems and completion documentation.
  • Strong understanding of field execution in electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
