We are currently in need of a QA/QC Inpsector for an ongoing project located in East Pittsburgh, USA.

MISSION:


As part of the QA/QC team, your role will be pivotal in ensuring suppliers deliver and install their products to the highest quality standards, ensuring nuclear safety at all times. This involves:

  • Quality control and monitoring of fabrication activities by the Contractor and occasionally by their sub-vendors.
  • Oversight of fabrication progress.
  • Witnessing predefined quality control checks in the Contractor's inspection and test plan.
  • Signing off on witnessed operations in the inspection and test plan.
  • Reviewing fabrication reports issued by the Contractor.
  • Weekly reporting on quality and progress to our project management team and quality control leader.
  • Immediately reporting any significant quality and progress deviations to the project management teams and quality control leader.
  • Collaborating with the Contractor in an open and constructive manner.

PROFILE:

  • Autonomous in quality control of mechanical equipment for the nuclear sector.
  • Experience in quality control of pressure vessels or equivalent mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with industrial processes involved in manufacturing heavy steel vessels.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive examination techniques, with certification being advantageous.
  • Experience in pressure testing and leak tightness testing.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments with tight deadlines and high-quality requirements.
  • Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Able to work independently according to predefined methodologies.
  • Capable of drafting concise reports with factual conclusions.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible to work in shifts and on weekends.
  • Possesses pragmatic and diplomatic communication skills, with the ability to handle stress.
