We are seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL ENGINEER for a hydroelectric project located in Southeastern New South Wales, Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role involves completing the "Detailed Design" phase for Electrical BOP (Balance of Plant) engineering

services, supporting the client during the "tender" phase, managing design modifications, and reviewing manufacturing documents for various electrical systems.

  • Finalize single-line diagrams for low voltage distribution.
  • Design equipment layouts and routing paths.
  • Perform sizing for electrical panels.
  • Create and manage routing plans.
  • Compile and calculate cable lists.
  • Design lighting systems.
  • Conduct power balance calculations.
  • Manage and coordinate interfaces.

DELIVERABLES:

  • Lead and participate in internal and external technical meetings to address comments and feedback from clients and employers.
  • Update deliverables based on client and employer input, with support from the Home Office.
  • Coordinate BOP interfaces with other designers, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with civil engineering teams to manage internal interfaces.
  • Assist in drafting responses to client comments with support from headquarters teams if needed.
  • Contribute to analysis reports for client review of bids for the specified lots.
  • Participate in the review and approval of supplier plans submitted by the client.

PROFILE:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Electrical Engineering, particularly in the Low Voltage field.
  • Experience in electricity production (hydropower preferred) and heavy industry.
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, REVIT MEP (preferred), Navisworks (preferred), Caneco BT (preferred), Dialux (preferred)
  • Fluent in English
